But not for me
Received the Rag & Bone Durham boot in the mail. Lovely boot and comfortable; reminded me quite a bit of the Acne Pistol in heel height, angle, and the toe of the boot.
Alas, not for me–back to whence they came. Pairing them with jeans, which is probably the only way I would wear them, made them look like cowboy boots. But they would look lovely with some true skinny jeans tucked into the top, I’m sure, or also miniskirts (I’m also quite sure that I would not look lovely in very skinny jeans).
For those curious about the fit, I’m a U.S. 9 in heels, a U.S. 9.5 in flats, and the 40 fit very comfortably–plenty of room in the toe, without being too large. There was nothing about the fit that suggested that they would rub much–in fact, the heel was very well balanced.

Ooohh… pretty! Sorry to hear that they weren’t the right ones for you, but it is nice to see a decent review! I’ve just finished up a huge black boot experiment, hopefully I’ll get it up on the blog next week, maybe I’ve got the right ones for you? I tried a couple pairs of Rag & Bone in the process and have to say they were super comfortable. Those guys know what they’re doing for sure.

Cool! I’d love to read your review and see what you found! Yeah, the sole/heel inside of these were really well made–comfort certainly wasn’t an issue. I didn’t like how they looked on me personally, with my jeans and the various pant lengths. But I could see them looking great on a lot of other people/other outfits.
Have you tried the Acne Pistols? To me they are the perfect black boots, comfortable, dureable and works with both trousers and skirts
