In 2013….
Better cross out 2012 and write 2013
Some things that I’ve been incorporating in my life (with varying amounts of success), and would like to continue to do so in the new year:
1.) Practicing consistently – I would be happy if I could get in 4 hours a day most days of the week, in addition to work and other things
2.) Fruit smoothies for breakfast – This has really cleared up my skin in the last couple of months
3.) A large salad during one of my other 2 meals – Ditto #2
4.) Eating low-fat, low glycemic-index, complex starch- and vegetable-based meals – I think this is the missing link in losing weight food-wise, as otherwise I was eating a lot of full-fat dressings and not seeing the scale budge
5.) 30 minutes a day or more of exercise – we’ll start there, and up the intensity once it becomes a habit
6.) THIS year I will shop less – 12 items in 12 months (excluding undergarments, work out clothes, some new work out sneakers, etc.) we’re talking big ticket items/wardrobe staples
7.) Be on the internet less! – 1 hour a day max would be just peachy
We’ll stop here; that’s a daunting list as-is.
Here’s some of my favorite resources to share with you, in case you have some similar goals:
YogaGlo - online yoga classes which totally rock the world, for a low monthly price
Fit Villains – the best fitness tumblr I’ve found yet, with lots of awesome motivation and encouragement
Valetina Zelyaeva – she’s a model, she has a blender, she posts super smoothie recipes, ’nuff said
Becoming Minimalist – whenever the urge to acqure hits, it’s nice to visit this site and gain perspective
Tumbleweed Tiny House Company – okay, this one’s just for fun; I dream of living in one of these, but the reality is that it’s not really legal in my city; still, a girl can dream

Sounds like a pretty awesome list. I haven’t gotten mine together yet but it’ll be similar. And thanks for the links, I’m gonna go check them out now (especially the smoothies, it’ll be nice to have some new options for breakfast!). Keep us posted on how you do…
